Designing a kitchen for a small space presents many difficulties and challenges.

Careful planning is needed to ensure that the desired items and appliances can fit into

the available space, and they must be safely usable.  There's no point in placing, for

example, and oven in a spot where it is difficult or dangerous to access.  A blend o

aesthetics and practicality is essential.

The luxury of a larger space offers a great deal more flexibility, it is much easier

to find sale and practical locations for the various appliances and functional areas.

However design can make or break the aesthetics, and the relationship between

the various functional areas needs careful thought.  Safety and practicality still have

to be carefully considered, but it can be tricky to make a larger kitchen look good.

Use of different colours, textures and a variety of levels will create interest.
